I started this project by looking into different spiritual practices you can get online. I ended up choosing a mix of meditation, astrology and palm reading. The article talks about how apps and the internet are making spiritual practices more easily accessible. The most common way is through your phone. So for the first illustration, I had the woman using a cell phone as a yoga mat to meditate. Her pose and astrilogical map behind her being reminisent of Indian depictions of the Buddha. The second spot was inspired by people doing palm reading online. I thought it would be fun to depict the reading being done via a hologram, as a Palm Reader holds your hand in theirs and traces the lines on your hands.
