No Longer Human

A cover redesign for Osamu Dazai’s book No Longer Human.

For this cover, I wanted to do something involving the protagonist, as the novel is the story of his life. However, rather than a person, he is an empty doll. His face, the mask he shows to the world, hides his fear of others. The poppy flower breaking through his face represents his fall into addiction. The people behind him, undefined and scratched out. He is unable to truly connect with them. For the hand-lettering, I chose to do something scribbly. Like a man who's losing himself.

Design a full colour cover for the novel No Longer Human. must have hand drawing title, and room for theauthors name.
